Most of the ones I would add have already been mentioned. Jerry Jeff Walker's Hill Country Rain is one of the rare fun and upbeat song about rain.

Of all these mentioned it's my personal favorite.

No less an authority than Brian Wilson called their "Be My Baby" the best pop song ever written.
