I loved Styx as a kid, while I don't loathe them, I'm a bit ashamed I was so into them...

When I was younger, I hoped that Journey, Forigner, Boston, Styx, and Rush would die. Now that I have gotten older and learned cooler slogans and sayings on the interweb, I now hope the aforementioned bands die in a fire.

I loved the RHCP's first two albums in high school... it was gradual, but over the past 20 years my feelings have gone from "no longer into them" to "absolutely cant stand them"
I also hated Springsteen in HS, but when I got to college and was turned on to his 70's stuff... absolutely loved it.
Probably my two extreme examples...

A very slow fire, after they have been diagnosed with AIDS

Great question.
Black Sabbath & anything country. Actually 'alternative/goth country has to be my fave genre

Journey, my mom loved them and I hated them when I was little. Now I love and respect their musical abilities

Being a sad southern boy, I didn't like any "black" music, but I've learned better.

I really grew fond of artists like Ray Lamontagne, Amos Lee, Mayer, stuff like that, and I still love these artists. From there it opened me up to who they were influenced by. From ABB to SRV, from Muddy Waters, to Otis Redding. I went to all of their roots.
So I can say, I never disliked it all, but over time blues oriented music has become my main music of choice. Listening to ABB Live at the Fillmore would probably never happen to CocoLoco at age 14, but at 22, it is as enjoyable as anything to me.

From the age to the taste to the path we are exactly alike....

there was a time that i thought lacuna coil was good. saw them open up for type o negative. they were pretty good. i realize now that there was a genre of music that i liked and lacuna coil was the closest to that genre that i had contact to. now that i have expanded and found more bands, i really cant listen to them anymore. even their hits are unbearable to listen to.

As a young child, I'm sure too many that I dislike now that I used to like (Kris Kross comes to mind).
On the flip side, my mother used to always play Moody Blues, and I absolutely hated it. Now I quite enjoy their music.
