Dream Theatre

They are on tour now playing small venues.

They probably couldn’t sell out one night at the Sphere

King Crimson would have killed it back in the day.

It would never work financially, but Kraftwerk or Devo would be an incredible experience.

I could easily see Depeche Mode as a legit resident.

Primus comes to mind as well.

Kenny Chesney starts in 16-show run in May

I grew up with the bass player for Chesney and she is super pumped to have a residency at the sphere. I am going to try and get out there to see a show.

I thought you were joking, but alas you are correct.

Kenny Chesney followed by Backstreet Boys.

That's a pretty big drop off from U2/Phish/Dead/Eagles.

And no one said Backstreet Boys in this thread seriously. Someone did mention them as a joke.

Opinions on if they will sell out the run?

I'm sure they'll sell it out. There's enough millennial women to buy seats. They ain't taking no chances with those Sphere residencies. Worst comes to worst, they cut the ticket prices or start offering deals like a ticket and hotel room package.

like everything else in vegas, its about the casinos and real estate debt service. everything else is an amenity

The difference is the Sphere isn’t owned by a casino, so comping tickets and giving free rooms away isn’t as easy.

Sure, it can happen. But not like when the show is at the casino and they give away all these tickets if they want.
