What are some of your favorite metal bands/albums/artists?

I haven't really expanded my metal collection in forever
I've always been a fan of Megadeth. I'm convinced that Countdown to Extinction is probably a top 10 metal album of all time. Tornado of Souls is perhaps a top ten metal guitar song of all time as far as rhythm guitar goes IMO.

relapse records has a great slew of bands. i can just hit their youtube channel and its got a pretty good chance i like whatever i click on.

Getting into the Textures of late. Not that big into death growls and such, but they mix in some melodic stuff as well.

Old school stuff. Iron Maiden has an endless list of good tunes. Some Judas Priest as well Really liked very early Queensryche.

Iron Maiden.
That image comes from the the single "The Trooper" from the album Piece of Mind which has already been mentioned. Probably my favorite as well.
Though they aren't metal by today's standards KISS was certainly pretty damn heavy for the late '70s.

Crowbar. Everything they put out is badass. One of my fav bands.
Right now I've been killing a debut album by battlecross which is sick. Killer pretty much from front to back. Some other stuff of the top of my head:

Hatebreed
Killswitch engage
