re: Well-known songs you hate by an artist you like

As a few have said previously, hate may be a bit strong, but dislike at least:
Ozzy -- Shot In The Dark
Soundgarden -- Spoonman
Pearl Jam -- Jeremy
Megadeth -- Sweating Bullets
Can honestly say none of the above are from overplay. Never liked any of them from the get-go. Radio and commercialization have basically ruined Crazy Train for me though.
For some reason I just never even care to listen to Come Together by The Beatles whenever it comes on. Definitely not hate though.
Two covers by Anthrax: Got The Time and Antisocial. Drives me absolutely insane that even when they are the opening act and playing only 8 or 9 songs, as with Lamb Of God and Slayer both last year, they still play both of these songs. SO many other songs of theirs I would prefer to hear. These two SUCK in comparison.
Helmet -- Unsung
I'm sure there are plenty more I'm not thinking of right now. May post again...

Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison
Maggie - Rod Stewart
Not that either of these 2 artists are my favorites , but the songs are overplayed and are my least favorite and are the least representative of the artist or the album
detest detest detest
oh and Stairway and Layla are the most hackneyed songs

Kelly Clarkson is one of the greatest singers of her generation and while I don't always prefer the pop direction she goes (very excited for her new bluesy direction with the new label) in I usually end up liking all of her songs over time. However, she has one song on her last album called "I Had a Dream" that is just the worst thing I have ever heard. The melody isn't catchy and the horrible writing is just the worst. I don't get how it made the cut.
Oh, wait, this said well-known songs.
Errrm. I gotta get back on this one.

gotta be 'under the bridge' by the RHCP. that song ruined a great band and they never recovered
You misspelled "Can't Stop"

I love Pearl Jam, but "Better Man" can go away. "Black" and "Jeremy" are great songs, they're just overplayed. (Eddie Vedder's vocals on "Jeremy" are strong) "Better Man" sucks AND is overplayed.

Love Better Man. Jeremy has been ruined.

honestly dont know that one. could be because BSSM was the last RHCP album i ever listened to on purpose.
it seems some years ago keidas cut his hair and that has to be the last straw in their descent.
i'm sure i've heard that song but honestly the only song i can 100% say the RHCP have done since BSSM is 'californication'.

Hate may not be a strong enough word to describe how I feel about:
"Angie" by The Rolling fricking Stones

Yes, every other Stones song is far better than "Angie."
Janis Joplin's version of Summertime is her worst.
