Is the third voodoo headliner really the cure? They seem more like band to play right before a headliner...

I'm guessing The Cure and Kid Rock are co headliners.

Duran Duran was the headliner in 2006! At least they had the RHCP to back them up.

I think Pearl Jam is much more in their prime than The Cure. I know I am a younger guy but I'm not kidding, I know not a single song from them.

Have they ever had a top ten album? No they havent. At least Pearl Jam had Ten, most people know 2-3 songs off of it. The Cure will only bring in a niche audience whereas PJ will bring in a vast array of people.

the cure has been all over the festival scene and are a headliner at ACL 2 weekends, were also a headliner at lollapalooza... you may not like them, but they are a 2013 festival headliner.

Yes you do, you just didn't know it was The Cure. If you watched them play, you'd hear several songs and make the connection in your brain.

well that reflects on you, not the Cure's relevance. Regardless of how suited they are to be a headliner, they are a very influential and well known band

I've never been crazy about the Cure's music, but I must say I was shocked at how great they are as a live band.

Robert Smitth can unload on a guitar. All 5' 100lbs of of him.

Sorry, but who gives a frick if they have had a Top 10 album or not? As though that's the measure of a relevant band.

They have been around for 30 years and put on a better live show than whoever the frick has the number one album now. (Probably some rap or bubble gum teeny shite

They are beloved by tons of fans worldwide as well as bands who they inspired to make music in the first place. Still relevant? Absolutely.

And me and the wife will be seeing them for the first time at VOODOO!
