Thankfully, Tool is playing on Saturday night. But holy shite those are some terrible bands playing before them.

Does anyone plan on purchasing a Saturday ticket just to see Tool?

Claypool/Lennon will be great but the rest of the festival excluding Tool is absolute shite. I mean no JRAD or TAB?? GTFO.

Definitely not getting a weekend pass since the lineup sucks, but I might actually go Saturday since Tool and Cage the Elephant are playing that day. Really the only two worth seeing to me.

Ghost is playing Saturday. Definetly not a "shite" band

I know they're the current darlings of mainstream hard rock/metal, but for the life of me I just can't stand them.

To me, they're not necessarily bad, just...boring.

Pretty wreckless, and All Them Witches are pretty good early bands. Good eye candy :)

Maybe I am becoming an old fart, but none of the line up makes me want to deal with all the people at the fest for an entire day.

I'd like to see All Them Witches, but don't feel like spending the day seeing all the other stuff just to see them...guess I'll catch them solo some other time.

I'll go see Tool, Cage the Elephant, Claypool, and The Pretty Reckless. The Pretty Reckless is an interesting up and coming band.

This festival really has taken a nosedive though. It used to be days of great music. Now it's spotty at best.

FYI: Cindy Lou Who from the Grinch movie with Jim Carry is the lead singer. I've been listening to them lately. They have potential. They're teetering on the fence of either putting our a great album or churning out commercial water down bullshite. Im interested to see how they do over the next few years.

Snakehips are great on their studio tracks. Not sure how they are live, they rarely tour in the US and I am pretty sure this is their first New Orleans show. Not going to go just for them though.

Day one is maybe the worst lineup I've ever seen for a festival of this level.

This. It's ridiculously easy to get a good spot for a show. The weather is usually cool and pleasant, and the crowds are never an issue.

I find it funny that the big complaint about Jazzfest is that the organizers focus on big names that draw huge crowds and make it an unpleasant experience. Yet, VooDoo usually gets only a couple of "big" name acts and people bitch that there's no one they want to see.

Unfamiliar with 90% of the acts.

Is anything listed on their rock and roll? I don't care for the rap/hip hop or electronic acts...
