Few days old but

LINK /

"Voodoo Music + Arts Experience will take a pause in 2022. Take care of your krewe and follow along on social media for updates."

There's literally no reason to pause for this year, so my guess is that Vooodoo is done.

City Park is basically set up for festivals already for the most part, and obviously a festival during Halloween in Nola makes sense so I hope a different independent org takes over next year and rebrands it something more similar to Riot Fest or even Shaky Knees focusing more on rock/rap/etc and less on EDM (leave that to Buku)

Knew something was up when they refunded me earlier this year.

It sucked more and more every year anyway. Hopefully it’s permanent.

Funny you say that since the Shaky Knees Founder is on the C3 team that does, or did, Voodoo.

I would put money on Voodoo not coming back.

I don’t care what anyone else says. I loved Voodoo Fest.

C3 is partially owned by Live Nation, which constantly finds ways to screw things up..

When the early days of Voodoo didn't realm into EDM, it was a much better festival... since you already have the festival grounds at City Park, it'd be nice to have an independent group try to start something new next year.

I bet someone buys it-

Major branded Halloween weekend in Nola?

They could definitely jazz it up - make the lineup release fun, through in some better costuming/Halloween vibes, and better late night pop ups around downtown- all set.
