Van Haley’s Fair Warning is awesome. Was it under appreciated?

Eddie’s guitar riffs...Alex’s drums...Michael’s base...and Dave’s with his lines is a great combo.

I really didn’t appreciate the album as I do today.

Yep, Unchained is one of Eddie's greats too. Was always wowed by his solos, but listening to more of their stuff lately, you really appreciate some of those riffs he came up with.

Even these jokers are likely better than Van Halen...considering they’re WOAT.

It’s simple, I see a tool or Van Halen thread, I downvote.

A most excellent album.

Check out some live footage from that tour on YouTube. The band was on fire and absolutely amazing!

The first album blew me away as a kid, and I remember riding my bicycle to the record store to buy Women and Children First. Played the hell out of those first three albums, then later had 1984 and others.

Not sure how or why, but I never owned Fair Warning. Don’t recall any buddies who had it. Did get into it later as an adult. Still not sure why we ignored it at the time.

This is my favorite VH album by far. The whole thing has a dark, stinky groove.

Unchained is probably my second favorite VH song behind Dance the Night Away.

And that's only because Dance is the first song i ever heard by them.

Love Fair Warning, but damn it's a short album. Wouldn't have hurt to have another song or two on it.

That's kind of funny because Dance the Night Away is my second favorite Van Halen song and was my favorite until I heard Mean Streets.

And yes Fair Warning was underappreciated. Of course I think their first five albums are all underappreciated.

Unchained is my favorite VH song ever. This song defines the true essence of Roth era VH. The ironic thing about it is it doesn't have a what would be considered a great EVH guitar solo.
