Halen is more my style, but Hagar is fun too. Two completely different bands.

I like some songs by both and see their contribution over the years. DLR helped put them on the map since he was so visible, I think you have to give him the nod. Good front man but not a good live singer. Sammy was good live

Hagar has a much better voice and is far less of a douche, but arguably 0U812 was his best album with the band. VAN HALEN first 5 albums were each better...maybe Women and Children First isn't as good...

I like both, and im in the minority, but i like Hagar a little better. I like the cheesy early 90s hits, too

Nothing wrong with most of OU812. 5150 is a damn fine album too. Even though Balanced was not balanced, Don't Tell Me, Not Enough, and Can't Stop Loving You are good.... as was Humans Being later on
