I heard Dave Grohl on the Howard Stern show 10 or so years ago.

Howard asked him if Prince was a better musician than him, and Grohl responded that not only was Prince the better musician, he was a better DRUMMER than he was.

Prince played just about every instrument, and at a high level. His flamboyancy got in the way of a lot of people recognizing this, though.
