We need to band together and pursue a modern approach to encourage the come back?

I've remained optimistic, but that's starting to wane.
If you've seen or heard any nuggets (i'd even settle for unsubstantiated rumor at this point), I'd love to hold on to them.

I think they're probably done. It's hard to work with an undependable, raging alcoholic. Yes, he may be doing fine now, but bridges have been burned.

Evan has gotten sober and reunited with his wife and they now have a new baby. Everyone in the band has moved on to other projects. Turnpike isn’t coming back but a solo version of Evan might.

I started following Evan’s wife, Staci, on Instagram to get updates on him. He seems like he’s doing well and staying busy working on a farm. She mentioned that she was also struggling with alcohol abuse prior to getting pregnant so the child appears to be a blessing from above.

That’s the deal with country music, they write the best songs when they’re struggling and fighting demons. They destroy bands and their lives. Once they clean up the music is never the same. Happy that he cleaned himself up, but don’t expect the old Turnpike back. American Aquarium ain’t the same and I’m worried Childers will never return to the Purgatory level. The music can still be damn good, but won’t be the same.
