He did say it had a Tears for Fears vibe, but that doesn't help all that much for a breakup song from the mid-80s to mid-90s.

The video was a 90s nostalgia video. So it wasn’t an actual music video, just something someone created to look back at the 90s. I want to say it’s probably been used a good bit in that capacity. A week ago I knew the lyrics and was singing the song, and now I’m blanking on almost all of it.
