Not sure how that was supposed to work out. I like one Rx Bandits album, walked out of their show, and I don't really like RHCP.

Derek Trucks a snooze fest? Jesus Christ

He's trolling. Jester's never seen Derek Trucks nor has he been to a show outside of emo fest at Spanish Moon. Let him fail over and over. It's hilarious

Apparently in your quest to be butt buddies with John, you forgot about the Raconteurs and Dead Weather. It's ok. I forgive you.

Do those even count as solo?

Gotcha. I misread it as DW and The Raconteurs being solo projects

Very true. I put him right up there with Frusciante as far as tone and phrasing goes. Absolutely love the emotion those two can convey.

Phrasing? JFrus is the best! I am going to have to check out this Knoplfer fellow and I'll get back to you.

Robert Fripp. Not that he sold millions of albums away from KC, but he has had an influential career as a sideman, collaborator, teacher and music theorist.

It's definitely hard to argue against his talent. I would love to try to learn new standard tuning one day, but the League intimidates me.

Frusciante is probably my favorite solo artist of all time.

Bonamassa did the opposite. Blew up into a huge guitar virtuoso and then joined B.C.C and released three killer albums.

Yup. Any time trucks is mentioned jester says he's a lame guitarist and that someone whos been in the RHCP is better. If you fall for that then you're dumb. That said, jack Sherman played my guitar stuff for my new album dropping this week

There is more to guitar playing than the blues scale.

Peter Frampton left Humble Pie.
Ritchie Blackmore left Deep Purple more than once.
Joe Walsh left the James Gang to go solo, but then he joined the Eagles and still did some solo stuff.
Ronnie Montrose left the Edgar Winter Band.

I am a huge Cornell fan and I HATED this album.

I liked Euphoria Morning though.
