I’m sure this has been done before and I’ve simply never seen it. So, sorry if this is a replay.
These are the best shows I’ve seen. Who you got? I’m gonna assume many of you have an impressive list.
1. Kiss - Love Gun tour in Ft. Worth
2. Van Halen - 99th and last US show of 1984 tour in Dallas
3. Lenny Kravitz - Best performer I have seen. He opened for the Cult and blew them away in Auburn
4. Pearl Jam - At the Fox in Atlanta, broadcast live and later released as a double album
5. The Police - Synchronicity tour in Dallas

RockandRollDetective,
I saw R.E.M. at the Saenger. Was that the '84 or '85 show. I think Fables was '84, but I could be mistaken.

That was the '96 at State Palace. I was at that one too!
I remember the '94 tour being amazed at how hard Danny was playing and when he'd bust a tom head his drum tech had it swapped out in seconds.

Incubus- met them in New Orleans at their meet n greet in 2004. First concert ever.
Soundgarden- Voodoo fest. They got back together and didn't release king animal yet, so it was all their older songs. Phenomenal rock concert.
Tool-2010 in New Orleans. First show of the tour. 3rd eye, lateralus, the patient. So fricking good.
Radiohead-2017 new orleans. My dad just progressed to stage 4 lung cancer and I was happy to get some form of escape. Man radiohead absolutely crushed it.
Mars Volta- 2008 house of blues New Orleans. The energy was like no other concert I've been to. Such a crazy fun band to listen to in a small venue.

I would also list The Who - Warehouse. And Tull. Leonid and Friends. Earth, Wind, and Fire. And Badfinger, unforgettable because my date wore tiny white shorts and a halter top and two guys in the concourse fell to their knees bowing down to her in worship.

I saw them in New Orleans in like '93 right after Eddie spit on that bouncer. He had everyone in the front spit at him and he was catching it with his mouth. Frickin disgusting

-Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - The Orpheum, Memphis. TP shows were a guitar geek’s die and go to heaven moment. Soooo many cool vintage guitars and amps. Petty’s Vox Teardrop and Campbell’s Coral electric sitar led the way, followed close by Mike’s 1952 Esquire. I saw Petty 4 times, it was always this way.
-Bob Dylan - Mud Island Amphitheater, Memphis. Bob actually interacted with the crowd and was having a good time. Great show.
-Nick Lowe & Elvis Costello - Mud Island Amphitheater, Memphis. The Jesus of Cool and Declan put on a fantastic show.
-Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives - Germantown(TN) Performing Arts Center. Them boys are good. Arguably the best band in the land these days, imho.
-Todd Rundgren and Utopia - Ellis Auditorium, Memphis.
Honorable mention: The Dave Edmunds Band - Solomon Alfred’s, Memphis. The Welch Wunderkind.
Honorable mention: NRBQ - The New Daisy, Memphis. With the lineup that mattered: Big Al Anderson, Joey Spampinato, Tommy Ardolino and Terry Adams. Formerly the best band in the land.
