I will admit. It took me a bit to like 10k days. Just wasn't expecting that at the time of release. Now I love the Album. Right in two and wings of marie are awesome.

The build in Right In Two is amazing.

I go back and forth with Right in Two...

But I can listen to Rosetta and Jambi over and over again

Rosetta Stoned, Jambi, and the Wings For Marie suite are some of their very best work. And Right In Two is no slouch.

Slight thread hijack here, but for those wanting new Tool-ish music, former bassist Paul D'Amour has a new EP from his band Lesser Key coming out soon. It was produced by Sylvia Massey who also did Undertow. Here's the teaser LINK Vocals sound more like Chino Moreno but the music is very early Tool sounding.

Just as we all knew, but oh well...

The likely scenario is:

Tool does this mini tour to "warm up"
Goes into recording studio beginning of April
Album is mastered over the summer while Maynard does his thing (New baby and wine harvest)
Album is released Nov/Dec and then they have a major tour beginning in Jan/Feb.

A clip from last night's show where they played Opiate. They did this in the middle, which is new material. New song fodder? Pretty cool either way.
