I'd love to, but that Tuesday night in Birmingham just isn't possible. Bummer. I expect a new single to be dropped about then with the album in the can.

Not close enough to Louisiana.

I'd go if in La, but that's about it. Their shows are technically on point, but they have become predictable and stale. Not worth traveling for anymore

I'm around 2 hours from Birmingham. There are a lot of bands from my youth that I will never get to see and I'd like to catch this one at least.

I dont know how much theyve switched it up, but last time i saw them was in baton rouge for Aenima. Its an event. The light show and visuals were amazing

You might want to edit that NC one...it's in Rockingham at the speedway, not Concord.

That was the Lateralus tour and it was 17 years ago. The last two times I saw them I nearly fell asleep and I was standing up.

Was it really? when maynard came out from behind the screen swinging that big arse cowboy hat? You may be right idk
I do remember wondering why the crowd was so lame. Maybe i over-enhanced the experience with alcohol lol

It was 2002. Aenima came out in 1996. I don't remember Maynard swinging a cowboy hat though. He was just wearing a little diaper like Gandhi and his whole body was painted blue with polka dots and he was standing on a turntable the whole time. Meshuggah opened. That was a great show.

It's worth the 2 hour trip, especially if you haven't seen them before. My issue is that they have been playing the same setlist for the last few tours now, and Maynard's refusal to be a frontman takes away from the fun of the show.
It's a visual and aural spectacle, but it's lacking some energy and fun

The painted body was the first Aenima tour. He had his body painted with phosphorescence so that the lights would reflect specific colors off of him.
The second Aenima tour was when he was dressing up, so it may be this one with the cowboy hat. I saw them in Houston and NOLA for the second tour, and he dressed as a preacher for one and in drag for the other (don't recall which was which)

Not a big deal, i just remember him opening up and coming out behind like a 40ft screen with a light behind him making his shadow like 20ft tall. Opening song he was swinging that big arse hat over his head

A 10 show tour?
I miss the 90s.

Wow Dave Matthew’s playing on the same day already here in Birmingham, what are the odds of that. Already got DMB tickets so you know where I’ll be

Very odd selection of cities...
I expect to see the big ones start to fall in soon.
Houston, Dallas, Denver, LA, SF
