When the Varsity gets Nickelback, is when I'll truly be impressed

Was never a big Three Days Grace fan, but I went to one of their concerts at HoB a few years back and they were great live. One of those bands that sold me on their live performance into liking them.

However, their lead singer, Adam, is not touring with them and he was the driving force behind what made them such a great live band.

First show I saw them at he covered "The Drugs Don't Work" by The Verve and I was literally one of maybe 5 people in the entire crowd that knew the song. I was pumped to hear it and he nailed it.

Also, since Nickleback was mentioned in said thread, they were actually scheduled to come to NOLA Arena with Nickleback, which I was not attending. When Nickleback cancelled, TDG threw together a fairly cheap HoB show on the fly.

The opening act was them playing a 7 song acoustic set followed by them playing a 14-15 song electric set. Was a really cool experience to get to show up, see your band play for 1h 45m and not have to wade through any opening acts.

Sorry to poopoo in the TDG Pissing Parade Cheerios.

TDG and Seether are literally the exact same band. I don't know why the Varsity would book both of them.

They just did an acoustic show in Broussard recently. The Station is locking down most of the big rock shows in this area.

I actually didn't mind them all that much back in the day. McCoy was like 2 or 3 years ahead of me on school I think. Once they "made it" he became a huge douche and they lost all their money

Life Starts Now was a good album. But all the rest of their music is 12 year old emo-scene music that has NO BRIDGE at all.
