I stay on a quest for these kinds of bands...Lamb Of God/Pantera style music with clean, or mostly clean vocals...there’s a few out there, but not many...anybody have any suggestions?

Clutch? Probably not what you're looking for but they put down tasty heavy riffs with one of the most talented rock voices IMO

ETA: And they have a ridiculous catalog to explore

Thrash has loads of them from the 80's, all the Big 4 for example are clean vocals

No doubt...I’m just trying to find a few albums like this that are fairly recent and that were actually recorded on Pro Tools, or some kind of digital recording...those 80’s albums are great, but sonically the leave a lot to be desired...I’ve been into Fear Factory a good bit lately...pretty good stuff...

Don't sleep on John Bush-era Anthrax records like "Sound of White Noise" and "Stomp 442." "White Noise" marks his debut as the band's vocalist and is a rock solid, underrated classic album, in my view.

It's my favorite non-Metallica album of the entire run of the Big Four.

Don't leave Testament outta this thread, they should be the fifth seat at the Big Four table IMHO. My favorite of the genre and that era.

Check out Death Angel. They were part of the early Bay Area thrash scene & got back together. Of course Exhorder as well.

I prefer Testament over Anthrax myself but to each their own

Tbh, Belladonna is a pretty terrible vocalist.

It's true. Anthrax was much stronger and more versatile with John Bush in the group.

Anthrax, to me, sounded more punk/alternative than metal.

Testament should be in the Big 4 instead of Anthrax.

Anthrax is easily the goofier, most laid-back member of the Big Four. As a young listener discovering this stuff, I was puzzled by their love of coffee and Mr. Potato Head-style logo. They didn't seem to fit in with the grim imagery and drugs and alcohol of the other three bands.

Anthrax is doing a cool “40 for 40” video series to celebrate their 40th anniversary. They’re up to episode 11.
