Caamp - Huckleberry Love

Caamp - Peach Fuzz

Great band we just stumbled upon. Going to see them in Dallas later this year.

Thanks for this thread. Cements my belief that this decade is one of the worst all time. And very little in the way of new and good. And it seems like music today is dominated by studio creations like taylor swift bruno mars beyonce arianna grande cardi b

You are the Old Fogie the OP was referring to. There is a lot of good stuff posted in this thread.

Opening of Peach Fuzz sounds pretty similar to...

Doesn't change the fact that he's right.

The only fact is closed minded people shouldn't post in a new music thread. We are probably a similar age and I love the old stuff. But there is plenty of good new stuff out there if you make an effort.

I really was not digging Amo from Bring Me The Horizon early on (it actually made me mad they departed so much from their original sound), but I absolutely love the CD now. Before you think, well, it's his current favorite band, of course he'd come around. There is not a band in my life that I was heavier into than Linkin Park during HT/Reanimation/Meteora, and I still do not and never have liked "Minutes to Midnight".

Amo Full Album

This is a song from While She Sleeps..it's kind of cheating with the guest star they have, but Oli comes in like such a badass. It's a fun song without him (his part is fairly small), but dude just looks so much bigger than them in the video.

While She Sleeps - Silence Speaks

Oddly enough, Machine Gun Kelly's new album is pretty damn good. This kind of came out of nowhere.

MGK - Death in my Pocket (actual decent lyrically)

MGK - I Think I'm Okay (just a really fun song)

Again, that doesn't rebut his point

I'm 58-years-old, and I can't listen to Classic rock anymore. I've heard the songs until I'm sick of them. Not saying they're not great songs, they are; they're just overplayed.
My kids are 22, 17 and 15-years-old (got a late start on the family). They got an earful of classic rock growing up. In turn, they've kept me updated musically.
What I've learned is what I stated in the OP.

Much of the stuff posted in this thread rebuts his point.

Even in the worst of times for music, there will be some good music.

And its usually up and down. 80's had some weak moments as did 90's. 2000-2009 was particularly good; 2010-2019 is particularly bad.
