For you instrumentalists: was there one song in particular you were dying to learn and play when you first picked up your instrument? For, me it was "Hey Joe"--one of the coolest, most badass songs in my opinion. No one will ever mistake me for Hendrix when I play it, but I love strumming and singing that fricker.

How about you? What was the song that started you on your way?

can't remember exactly. it was 1962 and after much begging, my parents bought me a guitar. for sure, the beatles and stones helped me get serious about it.

The first song I played on my guitar was "Island in the Sun" by Weezer...But the first song that I learned to play that was awesome, was "Voodoo Child" by Hendrix. Not the solos, but most of the main part

When I was like 15, my mom bought me a cheap strat copy and all I did for like 6 months was play the jangly guitar part from INXS' "I need you tonight."
