I'd actually rather see Paul over Clapton.

Same here. Clapton mailed in his last show at the Arena, and I don't have a lot of desire to see him play the same old standards

One late night I'm hoping for is BIIG

B - Russell Batiste
I - Ivan Neville
I - Ian Neville
G - George Porter Jr

Seems like a common lineup but they have only played three shows over the past six years (Balcony 2008, OEJ's 2010, and Tipitina's 2012). Hopefully they continue that trend of playing even-numbered years.

Paul would play 2-2.5 hours and play a much better set than Clapton would. EC wasn't great last time i saw him, making him significantly better than other groups I see, but not to the high standards we think of EC.

Its usually mid January, so I'd expect it somewhere around January 16th. And I expect a bunch of dumb jokes three minutes later along the lines of, "Why do they even call it Jazz Fest, if there is no jazz?"

Outkast

I read an article that said they may do a festival reunion tour in 2014. If true, and they don't play either Jazz Fest or Voodoo, then it will be a huge failure for New Orleans.

I've heard Santana for this year, not sure how reliable that is though.

That sucks, his Crossroads event this year was awesome.

Just a question, where did y'all get these rumors from? I would love to see SCI, Outkast, and Eric Clapton. Is this just someone's idea that it would be cool if they came or is there actually word that those bands are coming.

-Heard about Clapton from an industry insider.

-SCI's keyboardist (I believe) mentioned that they would be in the city

-It is widely being reported that Outkast is going on a nationwide reunion tour that begins with Coachella. Jazz Fest just makes sense. Also have an insider on that one

Not saying they should play at Jazz Fest but how come Phish never comes to New Orleans? Do they not draw a big enough crowd in the south or something?
