Those two young girls looked puzzled at the extended guitar solo.

Watching Paul in the front row singing along with every song is one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

fun facts on Dhani Harrison:
quote:

Dhani Harrison (born 1 August 1978) is an English musician and the son of the Beatles lead guitarist George Harrison and Olivia Harrison. Harrison debuted as a professional musician assisting in recording his father's final album, Brainwashed, and completing it with the assistance of Jeff Lynne after his father's death in November 2001.[1] Harrison formed his own band, thenewno2, in 2006.
Harrison's first name is pronounced similarly to the name Danny but with an aspirated 'd'. He is named after the 6th and 7th notes of the Indian music scale, 'dha' and 'ni'. 'Dhani' is also a raga in north Indian classical music.

They had the guitars way too low for that. I'm sure it sounded outstanding in there, but on tv the bass and drums drowned out the guitar so much. Vocals sounded solid, and I can tell the playing was very well done, just drowned out.

Watch their performance of that song from the crossroads festival. The guitar work is ridiculously good.

I didn't realize Keith could hammer out a guitar solo like that. Does he do that at his own concerts?

Keith Urban is pretty well known to be a very skilled guitarist.

I just didn't realize he was into extended guitar solos. I guess I'll have to try and check him out in concert now.

check out Keith Urban and John Mayers CMT Crossroads videos on youtube. It's fantastic.

Katy Perry did really well on Yesterday.

I agree that the mixing on that song wasn't the greatest.

And yes, Keith Urban is respected in guitar circles as top notch.

Not on the computer, but link the song When Summer Comes Around from the Crossroads.

That entire performance is so damn good. It's been on my moms DVR for over three years. I watch it over there pretty often

Never mind. I see that you had the same idea
