I get that in the sense that, if you dont like him or are apethetic towards him... his live shows may change your mind..

I hated bruce as a kid and thru HS... When I got to college some cat in the dorm had all his 70s stuff and staying up, drinking beer and listening to that converted me... seeing him live was the icing

edit:yes, Nebraska was my boss gateway, but now its probably 4th or 5th on my list of favorites.

Exactly. The 70's stuff is the soul of what he does. Give me "The Fever", "Rosalita", and "Thunder Road".

I like Brice, and I loved the Seeger sessions. What utliamtely happened though is couppled with the O Brother soundtrack, copius amounts of untalented teens picked up banjos and mandolins so they could immerse themselves in a certain aesthetic and ultimatley profit from it.
