Great band which never caught on here (in comparison to Europe), in spite of their having moved to L.A.
Alot of bands are what they are today due to listening to them, and ripping off bits and pieces of their work.
Still valid and relevant, even after 27 years
Sheer brilliance
You gonna tell me they were living on the left coast and nobody knew about it?

Automatic was a masterpiece. I like Darklands and Honey's Dead, but there's just not that level of pure greatness as in Automatic.
They captured lightning in a bottle with that one.
Much like the Stone Roses' debut.

1989 was a watershed year for music. This album is definitely a GOAT, but I believe this year spawned at least two others which immediately come to mind (Doolittle and Stone Roses). Kind of got lost in the shuffle a bit.

The late 'Munki' was also a very good and underrated album by the public (I think it was received with, and produced much, saliva on the part of gushing critics).
