Just now getting into them. I remember liking "Simple Song" when it first came out, but I'm just now going back to some of the older stuff like "New Slang" and "Phantom Limb".

Love the Chutes Too Narrow album from start to finish. Their other albums aren't as consistent but have some great songs on them. Pink Bullets on Chutes Too Narrow is probably my favorite song of theirs, but it's kind of emo-ish.

I listened to Chutes Too Narrow and Wincing The Night Away a good bit a few years back, but the only song that really stuck with me was Sea Legs. I fricking love that tune.

Australia, New slang, Those to Come (personal favorite) are all great songs. Shins are a solid band.

They have a couple of great songs that can stay on repeat for me, but the rest is inconsistent. They're a bit too quirky.

I think they dissolved, and Mercer went solo, then fizzled. Not positive.

Mercer did the Broken Bells thing with Danger Mouse. Their first album was outstanding, but the second one wasn't that great.
He's still with The Shins as far as I know, but is the only original member still involved. Their latest album is only a few of years old. Not sure if they have any albums in the works.
