Welp seeing Shane play got me all in my feelings. Kid played an amazing song. He is his father’s son.

Shane Hawkins is 100% his father's child.

If they stay together and keep touring, Rufus Taylor has gotta be the guy. I've said it from the jump but seeing him perform with them today, he's the guy.

Skipping around and caught when Grohl did “Times”, dude lost it… sad to see. Can’t imagine how horrible he feels to lose Kurt and then the man he called his best friend.

I have the CBS special on but this is not what I wanted. So frustrating. Hopefully we can watch the full concert tomorrow or later this week. Husband is gonna be pissed when I tell him.

Wolfie should've sang on the last 2 VH tours instead of Dave

Justin Hawkins, Wolfgang Van Halen

Their set was awesome. Been a fan of Wolf since seeing vids of his Mammoth songs. He’s definitely a chip off the old block. Also, never was a big Darkness fan but stumbled on Hawkins’s YT page last year. He has some interesting takes and despite his stage persona he definitely seems down to earth and a genuine good guy.

I should have watched this yesterday instead of football. I'm watching a 45 minute thing now on Paramount+. Wolfie was awesome, how does Chrissie Hynde still sound amazing? Brian Johnson and Lars now. I'll catch the whole thing later today.

ETA: I would pay good money to see Luke Spiller with Queen instead of Adam Lambert.

Don't forget there's another show at the Forum on the 27th. I'm assuming that one will be televised as well.

Or Mark Martel who naturally sounds like a combo of Mercury and Jeff Buckley. Quick story, we used to attend one of those semi modern mega churches back in early 2000’s. I was not a fan of the format and their P&W rock show. Grew up in WV, baptized in creek in a country church. Anyway, my wife talked me into sitting up front one Sunday for the music and preacher man came out and said the Christian band “Down Here” was passing through, needed a place to crash and would lead P&W and follow with a set of a few of their original tunes. As soon as Mark Martel started singing my jaw hit the floor and I nearly fell out of my seat. He not only resembled a distant relative of Freddie he had the most amazing voice and was also ripping some killer leads on a Gibby LP gold top. After that service I immediately went out and bought all of their music. Years later he would go on to audition for Queen. If you’ve never heard him check out the vids below. He also can sing anything from opera to pop to metal. He’s an amazing talent and plays multiple instruments.
