Dude laid waste to all the empty space left from the horns not being there. That was about as impressive and nasty as you can play a guitar. If you are anywhere near one of his shows, buy tickets and go!

Dude next to me as soon as the band came out on the stage goes "who is going to play lead guitar" and the second after he says that, Sturgill goes into Flowers and just fricking obliterates a solo. we were both laughing. great fricking show.
