Lettuce is one of the best live shows playing right now.
Yep. I really like their super funk group with Dumpstaphunk members called Dr Klaw. It is Krasno,Hall,Deitich plus Nick Daniels and my boy Ian Neville.
They only play at Jazz Fest, Jam Cruise, and Bear Creek.
Dr. Klaw killed it this year at jazzfest.
If lettuce is being mentioned gotta bring up New Mastersounds. Really enjoyed their late night shows this jazzfest.

Ha! Yep and I am sure all the current jam band guitarists agree on that!
anyone that saw the trey anastasio band's weak arse performance at hangout would agree on it

For sure and since we are talking about just really fun shows at this point I will say that Shovels and Rope absolutely blew me away at hangout. A different genre but just a ton of energy and soul for a two person rock group. Will be seeing them at tips beginning of June. They are a touring machine too so check out the schedule playing all over the place in the next few months. You will not be disappointed.
I was at TAB and it was a great performance. Really have no idea what you are talking about.

Dude you're trolling based on a TAB show?
No shite it sucked, it was a fricking TAB show.

He's not Trey circa 1995 anymore

He's not like amazing or anything, but he's not bad.

TAB is different, if you go in expecting a phish or super jam type show. A lot tighter, great vocals just different but I had a great time seeing them at Hangout.

TAB's alright, it's just sort of all of my least favorite aspects of a Phish show rolled all together.
Way too many Trey songs (duh), short jams, WAY too much Trey led jamming, bass player spends the entire set in the pocket, etc.

I see what you are saying, it is certainly not phish, but not much is. I don't really seem to mind this type of phish as much as most do. I actually really enjoy the shorter, tighter jams more than the ones that get lost for a few minutes in the middle before coming back together.

yea, trey anastasio playing guitar. of course, the guy sounds great with phish. the other three members are just on a different level to me.

pfffft. i guess thats a good way to justify it.

I'm not justifying anything. Those are in fact the phish songs I like better. Early 90's, short rat tat tat jams.
You use the term suck way too liberally in regards to music btw.

I fricking love this song, probably my favorite talking heads song. The Black Dog TAB closed with at hangout with her singing was one of the best versions I have heard anyone cover.
