Another new world is better than most stuff people think is good and popular these days. Isbells elephant comes close but ANW is on a level of its own, musically and lyrically

Molina goat. One of my all time favorite artists...along with waits. Was just revisiting the Songs Ohia Ghost Tropic album the other day, and Was reminded just how much I love the song The Body Burned Away.

Donald Fagen, both his solo work and with Steely Dan. They're usually weird dark stories, but I like that.
