I haven’t seen the Stones in concert for many years. Is the politically incorrect song Brown Sugar” on their playlist?

I did crank it up when some people were protesting the “say her name” girl and got some nasty looks. Some Girls might have gotten them more riled.

Sold in a market down in New Orleans
Scarred old slaver knows he's doing alright
Hear him whip the women just around midnight

I doubt the Stones give a shite and am sure when they start touring again they'll break it out.

Hey Negrita
Hey Negrita, hey now
Move your body, move your mouth
Shake lady, way down south
Shake baby, in your home town
Come si chiama, what's you game
I'm just a poor man, what's your name
Shake your body, do it up now
Shake body, move it up now
Hey Negrita, hey now
Hey conchita, shake it up now
Bate las caderas, do it up now
Flash of gold in your ears, child
Flash of gold in your eyes
Saw the gleam in your mouth
Saw the steel in your thighs
Do it up now
Bate las caderas, do it up now
Just a momentita, not so fast
I need money, my sweet arse
Listen I'm a poor man
My pay is low
Here's one last dollar, then we go
"One last dollar, " she say "I got my pride"
Going to get your boss, boy
Going to tan your hide
Hey Negrita, hey now
Hey Negrita, do it right now
Hey Negrita, hey now
Move your body, move your mouth
Shake lady, way down south
Shake baby, in your home town
Come si chiama, what's you game

Shake your body, do it up now

It just boggles the mind that such an unsavory song as this could become a #1 song in 1971!
I think it benefits from the noisy rocking accompiament and Jagger's murky vocal delivery. I had listened to this for 50 years and never knew the real lyrics til today!

This statement
And this statement
make no sense at all. How are you a fan of this song for 50 years but oblivious to the lyrics? But all of a sudden today is the day the lyrics bother you? C'mon, man. Does it change anything for you that Mick wrote the song with the black woman who is the mother of his first child? If she wasn't offended writing it, why should you be offended listening to it, especially after being ignorant of the lyrics this whole time.

Jagger usually changes the words from the original recording. Not even he is saying all that shite in today’s climate.

Exactly. The Stones have always thrived on controversy. (A song about a girl on her period “can’t you see I’m on a losing streak”, Stray Cat about banging a 15 year old, Star Star, Some Girls to name a few) Now they would act woke but the edginess of years past could come back to haunt them now if the woke mob opted to pursue.

It has been in their permanent set list for a while now

Why you go to a Stones show, actually
Posted on 4/19/21 at 7:45 pm to kjntgr
They played it a couple of years ago at NRG. I don't recall Jagger changing any lyrics.

They played it in Havana

Their last concert was in Aug 2019 and it was still in the setlist.
This link shows you the number of times they have played it live. It was played at all 17 shows of their 2019 tour.

The general cluelessness of the whole thing irritated me. For 50 years you loved the song but now it's a problem? In all that time you couldn't figure out the song is about raping slave girls? It's not really a song you should use to court a black chick. Yes, it's purposefully offensive but no one is making you listen to it, now or over the course of the past five decades.
