Anciients - Voice of the Void
Saw both of these yesterday on Banger's year end list. Going to check them out.

I had heard of Anciients before but never got into them. Khemmis is new to me. Both really good albums.

I missed this Voodoo show so am pumped it is avaliable
New album out in one month from ATW

Crystal Fairy, the band that features Melvins vocalist and guitarist Buzz Osborne and drummer Dale Crover, Le Butcherettes vocalist and guitarist Teri Gender Bender, and multi-instrumentalist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez of At The Drive-In (and formerly of The Mars Volta), will be releasing its self-titled debut album Crystal Fairy on February 24 via Ipecac Recordings.
Crystal Fairy
They've got a few songs on youtube right now. Sounds like straight up 90s alternative rock. Teri does all the vocals from what I've heard so far. Between this and the new Gone is Gone the year is off to a good start.

Royal Thunder also announced their new album, Wick, to be released on April 7th. Been a great day with this and Mastodon

Sounds much better than that EP they released late last year.
This is one of my most listened to bands the last year. I literally listen to "The Ghost I used to be" a few times a day

Thrill Jockey Records has gathered up exclusive tracks from bands like Thou, Sumac, Old Man Gloom, Mike Scheidt from Yob, The Body & Full Of Hell, and more to help out the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank after the Lousiana floods of 2016 hit the area pretty damn hard.
The compilation's tracks are all exclusive to the compilation itself, and features The Body & Full of Hell covering Devo, Thou covering Neil Young, special live tracks from SUMAC and Old Man Gloom, and a solo live recording by Mike Scheidt of Yob, as well as Louisiana DIY mainstays Heavy Mantle, Dovonan Wolfington, Caddywhompus and more.
