I'm a big Stapleton fan, but that show last night in Lafayette was painful.

The best way to describe it was like listening to the album, but louder.

He had zero energy or "entertainment".

At the prices charged, it was a rip off.

Do not recommend.

Meh. I thought it was pretty good. The venue is terrible though. I'll never go to another cajundome concert

They need to set it up where one of the sides is "the front". the viewing angle from anywhere except "the pit" is trash. 90% of the crowd has to watch with their head turned.

in any event I think his show would be incredible in a small venue like the heymann center.

The man is a musician. Want something beyond great live music, go see New Kids on the Block, KISS or Luke Bryan. ??

I was there and thought he was great, sounds exactly the same live as his albums. I was in the pit so didn’t have problems with view. The people in the pit sucked though, 80% just stood like statues with their hands in their pockets, not even a head bob...that’s the first country concert I’ve been to though, maybe that’s just how they are

Really? I haven't been to a show at the Cajundome in a few years but I remember it being a pretty good concert venue.

He’s good, but not someone I’d pay to see more than once.

Stapleton is not an entertainer. Go to a Garth Brooks concert if you want to be entertained. If you want to appreciate a great musician then Stapleton is for you. The Marcus King band was also great. The only thing I was disappointed in is that he didn't play any of his Steeldriver stuff.

I saw Stapleton in Biloxi, and if you thought the Cajun Done sound was bad, you never want to step foot in Biloxi in the upper levels for a concert.

Boring arse music makes for a boring arse concert experience, who’d have thunk it.

I've seen Stapleton once; will not see him again. And I do not understand the love for his version of Tennessee Whiskey. I thought it was boring when he and JT broke it out at that awards show and from then on; i think people pretend to like it.

Saw him at bayou country superheat. He was right down the middle, but it worked. And the crowd was clearly there for him. And the 10-minute jam sesh was perfect. Great show.
