Jesus Christ am I really the first one to throw out Jeremy by Pearl Jam? How about Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult?

The Judys - Guyana Punch

I remember that song. A friend of mine lived in Houston and was a big fan of The Judys. They had a cool little ditty called "Reruns," too.

Was not about suicide. Buck Dharma wrote that after he found out he had a heart condition and was confronting his own mortality.

Caroline's Spine- Wallflower
A terribly depressing song from a vastly underrated 90s band.

Devo- Come back Jonee

Jonee jumped in his Datsun
Drove out on the expressway
Went head-on into a semi
His guitar is all that's left now

It really is a beautiful, tragic song. Half of me wishes it was recorded today with better production, the other half appreciates how the rawness adds to the emotions. I just happened to listen to it again the other day for the first time in forever while going down a Spotify rabbit hole and it definitely had me in my feels as well.
