Some Kind of Monster vindicates Lars

Everyone else in the band is a raging infant, Lars is the only one trying to make music

Lars was right about Napster. Recorded Music has become worthless(to some). People do not expect to pay for it. It has become devalued.

Going from A Year And A Half In The Life Of Metallica, which showed the making and touring of the Black album, which is my favorite all time music documentary, to Some Kind Of Monster, was beyond eye opening. Lars was the voice of reason, amazingly. What a shite show that whole time was. Completely depressing and emasculating time for the band. Strangely, I always dug the album.

It’s a shame. We see this passed along in the ridiculous prices for concert tickets, imo.

James was drinking pretty heavily at this time. He went into rehab right after this movie came out.

What does it say about the band when Lars is the least douchiest?

Yet there are bands who’ve made a good living without radio play. Panic, phish, and other jam bands tour and even stream concerts for free!

What's that? I couldn't hear you over the incessant noodling.

I met him through a friend in Vail, CO. Super nice guy. He was walking around in cargo shorts, a t-shirt, and flip flops. Looked like someone's dad doing the tourist walk through town.

Maybe at the core level. However, they explicitly and aggressively went after fans. In hindsight, that was a huge mistake.

Quickly reading through the wiki I believe it lead to Napster accounts being disabled. Did any individual people get sued for money? RIAA sued which lead to examples such as 12-year-old settles music swap lawsuit
