All of that is too poppy, mainstream and formulaic for those that think they know what good music is.

True story. I'm the anti-music-snob doe.

Same, was not feeling that Beyoncé single at all. But since Em has that clout, people are gonna say that he’s back when in reality it might be time to hang it up

Yes. That Trump freestyle thing was terrible and his last CD was very hit or miss. I listen to Rap God daily though.

I've listened to Em's new album last night. It leaked. It's not very good. It's him trying to make a bunch of Pop Rap songs. The production(beats) are embarrassingly bad.

That's sad to hear. This CD is the first of the last three that Dre and Aftermath are credited on and Rick Rubin is a credited producer as well. I had hoped the underlying beats and production would be top notch.

The beats are generic and boring for the most part. Rick Rubin is credited on 3 songs - Walk on Water, Remind Me(which uses the Joan Jett - I Love Rock n Roll sample uncreatively), and Heat(another generic rock/rap beat). Dre executive produced but isn't credited on any songs.

Its hard to believe at his level he has nobody in his corner to tell him how pandering and corny as frick he sounds sucking off BLM and the anti Trump shite. Its beyond cringey

SZA’s Control was the best Hip/Hop R&B album I heard this year

A Deeper Understanding undoubtedly best alt/indie. That album is top to bottom fantastic.

DAMN. is a great rap album and will be revered for decades by hip hop heads, but it had 3-4 skips on it.

TOPS put out one of my fav. Albums of the year.

Rolling Stone hasn't been credible or relevant in decades
