Smashing Pumpkins and Janes Addiction

Smashing Pumplins headlining with Janes Addiction as special guest.
Toyota Center in Houston on October 3rd.
I’ll be there in Row 6.
I hope the Pumpkins just play Siamese Dream straight as the set list. Hell, play it twice.

Row 6? Damn baw. Nice.
I think they'll play a good mix of old stuff. I suspect they will do a 30th anniversary tour in 2025 to celebrate Mellon Collie. I think they were planning on doing a 25th anniversary tour like that but that was 2020.
I've never seen Jane's Addiction before, so this should be a pretty great show.

I haven’t either. I’m much more excited to see them over Smashing Pumpkins.
I’ve seen Pumpkins twice, once in Biloxi in 1994 and again at one of the Lollapolluzas.
I remember being on the road driving to the Biloxi concert when we heard over the radio that a body was found at Kurt Cobains house, confirmed to be him about an hour later. We were in disbelief and it made for a very surreal vibe at the concert that night.
We stopped at a truck stop and bought a fifth of the good stuff to drown our sorrows, Absolute Vodka for the night. I held on that bottle for almost a decade. Empty, of course.

Never seen Jane’s so excited about that. Have seen SP a few times as they are my all time fave. Last time I saw them was 2018 and SP played for almost 3.5 hours and most of it was their older stuff. It was awesome!
I just hope I get to see Mayonaise live again. Best SP song ever!

Completely agree. It's one of my favorite SP songs. People just downvote it because Nurse likes it. I guess the OT carries over here too.

There was actually a poll about best SP song (forget who did it). Mayonaise was voted GOAT SP song.
Rightfully so, it’s just the perfect song imo. Takes me back to being a teen and feeling misunderstood and all the feelings you feel at that age every time I hear it.

Meh that place has become Poliboard 2.0. If you don’t fall in step with the OT political party of choice you are instantly hated. They can’t handle people having differing views over there.
But let’s focus on how great this show will be. I’m so excited. Already took the day off work the day of the show

I saw them a few of years ago with nine inch nails. JA crushed it. One of the best live shows I've ever seen.
I've seen pumpkins twice back in the day. Can't wait for this show.
