Sirius XM or Spotify Premium?

I am thinking of making the switch to Spotify Premium. Got XM in the car and that is it. Spotify Premium I can have anywhere. Any cons to switching? I know I lose the talk channels and shite, but Opie and Jim is now fricked anyways.

Spotify Premium hands down

I use Spotify Premium in the car(well actually everywhere) and the wife uses Sirius XM in her car. I like Spotify better. One, it's cheaper, and more importantly it can be used in more places. Sirius does offer streaming through their app, but you have to pay a few bucks more per month over the radio subscription.
The ability to make playlists and download them to your device is the game changer for me. I have 2 playlists, both with over 1500 songs, I have downloaded onto my phone so I don't have to use data via streaming. Load one up, hit the shuffle button, and away I go.

If Spotify had an orifice, I would love it ever so tenderly.

Spotify is arguably the greatest invention since blowjobs

Not to be a douche, but I'm honestly surprised at how relatively few people subscribe to premium streaming services. It's probably one of the most valuable use to cost ratio things I spend money on.
That said, I am in the process of switching from Spotify to Apple Music.

I just got fed up with Spotify. Don't get me wrong, Spotify's streaming service is great, it's easy to use for the most part, etc.
It's just they refuse to respond to a lot of complaints about how they sync listening and social aspects of the service. If you look around a lot of people have left them moreso for the fact they refuse to address concerns than for a lack of quality in services offered.
So, I went over to Apple to try it out. I tried Google a couple times, and the interface is just horrible IMO (and I'm primarily a google user). Getting started was a total PITA on Apple. It was just a chore to get the app and get it working.
Now that it works, it works pretty well. Their library of music has some advantages. But the thing holding Apple back the most is their absolute refusal to abandon iTunes to compete with Spotify. They need the option of a stand alone streaming app with a very intuitive interface. Getting around on Apple Music's app is annoying, but I'm otherwise satisfied for now.

Spotify Premium with bluetooth is a life changer. That is not a hyperbole.

Whats your beef with their syncing? I find it very user friendly.

I'll be that guy and recommend Sirius if only for Underground Garage

I have both too, still deciding if I'll fully switch to Apple.

Spotify is great, and I wouldn't try to talk you out of it, but if your only reason is that you can get Spotify anywhere...

You basically have access to any music you want at any time. Requires internet to stream, but you can save stuff for offline use if you need to do so. You can move stuff into playlists as if you actually owned the albums/songs you want to use. They also have pretty good curated playlists and radio stations you can use.
I have Sirius, and they're really not comparable for me. The advantage of Sirius/XM is that it's built into your car and have non-music features. I almost never listen to Sirius for the music, only for news/sports.

It's been posted before on this site by someone, but this:

is the greatest playlist known to man. We have it on almost exclusively in the car, or in the kitchen on shuffle

That sounds like too much work. I'll stick with XM for now.

As a former subscriber, I'm now of the opinion that Sirius/XM is crap. As others have said there are exceptions (Underground Garage for example) but even though they have multiple genres each station seems to rotate the same songs day by day by freakin' day. If you have it at least make sure you call them to get your rate lowered to $4/month from their ungodly uncontested rate of $14.95 on up.
Spotify? Unlimited songs and you can actually pick what you want to hear next...WHAAAT?
