At Iron City in BHM.

He's a great entertainer. The man is 83 and he still has it. He does take a good amount breaks and lets his keyboard player jam some. That dude was incredible. His rhythm guitarist also solo'd a bit.

Highly recommend.

I saw him years ago with B.B. King. The opening act was Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks before their band became official. Plus it was a free ticket.

Saw him about 2-3 years ago at the Hendrix Experience...about 10 blues shredders playing Hendrix tunes at the Saenger in NOLA.

I thought the same...man, he is playing great for 81.

He just did an interview (about an hour) with Marc Maron on WTF podcast. Marc said Buddy's people told him he was the youngest 83 year old he would interview, and they were right.

Would love to see him. He's the last true connection to the original Delta-to-Chicago blues scene. A national treasure.

That's Buddy in the background (along with Big Willie Dixon on upright) supplying rhythm on one of the greatest acoustic blues records of all time, from 1964.
