This is my first post on the Music Board so sorry if this was already covered. Anyone have a good sad modern country playlist for after a break up? I’m rolling with:

loud and heavy
she got the best of me
beer never broke my heart
houston, we got a problem

any suggestions on similar songs would be awesome

I’ve been studying for finals & listening to American Aquarium all day. Definitely my new favorite artist. Thank you everyone for the awesome suggestions. “I Can’t Love You Back” hits hard

How sad/depressing so you want? I don't think of Beer Never Broke My Heart as sad.

Craig Morgan - Love Remembers
Luke Combs - Even Though I'm Leaving
Chris Stapleton - Daddy Doesn't Pray Anymore
Sunny Sweeney - Bottle By My Bed
Craig Morgan - The Father, My Son, and The Holy Ghost

Good song but when Cody jinks nails that chorus line “ and the only thing that made matters worse was his mommas a late night ER nurse and he was DOA she just about lost her mind” - David

Not edgy or obscure enough for much of this crew.

One Mississippi- Brett Eldredge (acoustic version)

Say Hello To Goodbye- Josh War

Tonight I Wanna Cry- Keith Urban

See You When I See You- Jason Aldean

Anything Goes- Randy Houser

The Bottom- Aaron Lewis

Not really “sad” but “Monday Morning Merle“ is a killer song about an old old-lady

Check out hurt somebody by the dirt drifters. Dierks Bentley did a version as well but it’s way over produced.

These boots by Eric church is a good one too.
