Buddy wants me to go with him in December here in Houston to see them. Figured I'd go since I've never seen them and heard they put on a hell of a show. I'm not a huge fan of their music, but can appreciate them. Thoughts?

i would go just to watch peart's drum solos.

he is, by far, the best drummer to ever hold two sticks

Maybe best Percussionist, but not best drummer. That goes to either Mike Portnoy or the one and only Danny Carey.

Grudge Ending

This comment explains it all.

Danny can do almost anyone else out there, but there aren't many that can do what Danny does.

they're not exactly my cup of tea, but they are well known as one of the great live shows in rock and roll. I think you'll find it a pleasurable time.

Love RUSH, and have been to one of their concerts, it's a great experience. Lee's voice leaves something to be desired these days but if you get a chance, go

He definitely has skill, but I just hate that music; no soul or rhythm. Steve Jordan FTW

Seen them twice. It's probably worth going to see them and they do put on a good show. But I'm not sure you'll be blown away unless you're a true fan though.

I'll be at that show, it will be the 4th decade I've seen them in

They do put on a great show, but I'm a big fan.

Love the music, Meh on the live show. I have seen them three times in three different decades. Moving Pictures tour was my fave show.

i've seen them twice...1982 and 2010 i really enjoyed both shows, even though i probably wouldn't put them in my top 20...the 2010 show was really relaxed, reflective...i would imagine that would be indicative of their current shows in general.

I saw them last year in New Orleans. It was a huge set list and a pretty dang good performance. My critique was Geddy Lee still goes for all the high notes, even though he probably shouldn't. It kind of took me out of the show a few times, but the die hard Rush fans still eat it up. Growing old is a bitch...B+ for his vocal efforts. A+ for everything else including the set list, stage show and musicianship.

Saw Rush many years ago in Orlando and they were fantastic.

I am not sure how they are recent but if they play stuff from THEIR CLASSIC LIBRARY then you are in for a major treat!

I saw them in NOLA a few years back...great great show, I definitely recommend going.

Like someone said, if nothing else than for Peart's solo. He's the GOAT
