I'm an older phuck but instead of the total contribution to the R & R hall I believe the impact they had on the music scene should be taken into account.
That's why I believe Steppenwolf should be in with there 3 hits they had
Born to be Wild is still relevant today in R & R music

Why would Mariah Carey baffle you? She's had 19 number one songs, the most number one hits by a female artist. The only artist with more #1s is The Beatles with 20. She also has 50 top 100 songs and 28 top tens.
