The Grateful Dead did a better cover of Merle Haggard’s Sing Me Back Home.

They also covered the Everly Brothers’ Wake Up Little Susie.

RIP, Don. You influenced a lot more artists than a lot of people today probably realize. Starting with the Beatles.

the Beatles, the byrds, the hollies, CSN, The Beach Boys...et cetera. Hard to overstate the influence of the everly brothers

Don in particular as he was also very influential as a guitarist

One of the last men standing who created the music.

Little known fact - Warren Zevon was the piano player for the Everly Brothers in the 70's and was the band leader.

Gram Parsons and the Flying Burritos doing When Will I be Loved - a capella

Mark Knopfler wrote Why Worry with the Everly Brothers in mind.

RIP.
Phil and Don had the best harmonies ever.
Too bad they let their personal differences come between them.

RIP Don

One of the greatest voices ever. A true pioneer.

What's amazing is, their mother is still alive. She's 102.

When my much older sister moved out of our house in the early 60's, she left all her 45's. One of those I played on an old portable record player as an 8 year old was 'Cathy's Clown'. Everly Brothers were a great duo! RIP Don...
