Got that cd in 91 when I was 9. Came home every damn day and put it on my parents big living room cd player-- before they got home from work--turned the volume to 11 and rocked the frick out.

I completely agree. It was never the same after Cliff died. Justice ended up being legendary & then they got tired of doing long songs. The Black Album is great hard rock album. It is not metal. They dumbed themselves down to the mainstream.

I dont think they had a choice. Cliff Burton was basically a lead guitarist on the bass. His style couldnt be replicated.

Enter sandman is probably my least favorite Metallica song. Black album is ok but I Despise that song.

IMHO, Bob Rock had a lot to do with their decline, he was a great producer just not a metal producer
