From what I've seen your pretty hip to the Austin music scene. Two questions: Do you know who James Hyland is? If so, is he doing anything musically these days? tia

its awful! that sound is so overdone. it was bad enought when brantley gilbert did it. we dont need anyone else doing it.

Yeah, he plays with South Austin Jug Band and he has a new project called James Hyland and the Joint Chiefs. I've seen him at Continental Club Gallery and Rattle Inn before. Good stuff. I don't really know him very well but we have a lot of friends in common and I know he is very well-respected by other musicians in the scene.

Gotcha. I stumbled across the James Hyland band years ago at Waterloo records. Bought it and loved it. Then he formed the SA Jug Band and I was one of their biggest fans. Went and saw them at Momos and Broken Spoke. They made 2 awesome albums. Then one ok one. Then one real shitty Indie sounding one. Then the band broke up. Haven't heard from him since. I'll check out some Joint Chiefs stuff
