I'm just giving you shite. I don't really know what qualifies music as red dirt vs regular modern country vs brown dirt country.

I just think Jason Isbell is too good to be put on the 4th tier of any list.

I take my Red Dirt very seriously. I haven't been here long, but I can tell my knowledge of Red Dirt Country outweighs any poster here.

A lot of people constantly confuse Red Dirt Country and Brown Dirt Country. So don't feel like a n00b.

It's true. I really thought I knew my shite and was the resident Red Dirt expert until you showed up. I am awed and humbled.

GARTH BROOKS TIER 2? Same as fricking Colt Ford? Behind Luke Bryan?

Brooks and Dunn tier 3 with Cowboy Troy?

Alabama tier 4?

No George?

List sucks.

Down The Line - Grady Dockery

Acoustics in the video aren't very good because he is playing outside in his yard, but listen to the words

Captain... I was saying Garth should be tier 1. Garth, Alabama, Brooks and Dunn, George Strait, and Alan Jackson all should be top of the list

You really think that?

Those guys haven't put out any solid Red Dirt jams in almost 15 years. Colt Ford and Reckless Kelly are doing big things in the country scene right now. Just because the guys you listed have won a bunch of silly country music awards, does NOT make them Red Dirt Heroes

So Luke Bryan is a red dirt hero? Ahead of people like Garth, George, Brooks and Dunn, etc??

Colt Ford is doing big things... but nothing on the level that those guys listed above did.

I'll see the Reckless Kelly guys on Sunday, they will be pleased to hear about their top tier ranking.

I don't think I will tell the Turnpike boys about their poor showing, though.

Prove to me otherwise.

Luke Bryan has red dirt in his blood. He was born from Red Dirt. His soul is made out of Red Dirt.

I could go on and on about this, but Luke Bryan busted his arse for a Tier 1 ranking

See, you can't prove to me why he isn't a Tier 1 Red Dirt country act.

You could put up anyone of his songs against Garth in his prime, and the real Red Dirt aficionados, such as myself, will tell you Bryan just lays down more Red Dirt girty grimey Dirt

What else do I need to do? I literally just said his music sucks. And music is all about how the individual perceives it. Everyone likes diff things.

Shameless... friends in low places.... rodeo.... wild horses... thunder rolls.... standing outside the fire.

And it doesnt matter what you say because it wont change my opinion, just what whatever I say wont change your opinion.

This just isn't my opinion...It's the opinions of Red Dirt Country music listeners. People just like you and I. They have spoken, I'm sorry, but there is nothing we really can do about it.

Luke Bryan is Tier 1 Red Dirt
