Harder Faster

When this hit in 1979 I was blown away. Saw them as a warm up band (cant remember the headliner) and this is what I ultimately found. What ya think?

Bought it that year also. Loved the album then, and still listen to it all the time to this day. I was more of a metal head, but this album, with its combination of rock, and ballads, was amazing. Miles had a great voice, what a versatile singer. I still remember cranking this out for a couple of my high school buddies when it came out, who were blown away by it. They had never heard of them. I don’t really remember how I ever heard of them. Maybe I picked the album out from a record shop by its cover, who knows. 21st Century Schizoid Man is still one of my favorite all-time covers. Man, that bass! Great album!

Funny, none of the songs I remember from them are on that one. That song has been coming up on one of the XM stations though.

Frigging loved that album. Thought they would end up being a bigger deal.

April Wine and Triumph are two great bands that got lost in the shuffle. Thanks for the reminder!

Went back and looked and I definitely remember liking the "Sign of The Gypsy Queen" album better than Harder Faster.
had 8 tracks of both.

I don't really know them. I had a lot of different things going on around that time. That song sounds like any number of bands to me.

I’d add Y & T, and Riot to that list. Should’ve been bigger.

Been busy as hell with work in Tennessee so just now seeing this. Awesome album. Loved April Wine back in the day and this still sounds great today. I saw them around that time too but I think it must’ve been a couple of years after you because they were the headliner. 1981 on the Nature Of The Beast tour at the Centroplex. I started a thread on here about that show in fact a little over a year ago. Fantastic show.

Like April Wine. Have some good songs. Roller is great. That Ricky scene where he asks him to play "I Like To Rock" is always the first thing I think of when I hear April Wine.
