After seeing U2's new commercial featuring The Miracle (of Joey Ramone), it made me realize that I don't know much about the Ramones as a band.
The extent of my Ramones catalog consists of:
The KKK took my baby away
Rock 'N Roll high school
I wanna be sedated
Blitzkreig Bop
Rockaway Beach
Sheena is a punk rocker
After that, I don't know much. Can someone point me to some good albums and preferably live performances to help educate me to the Ramones?

You've already got some of their best. Other great ones:
Commando
California Sun
Judy is a Punk
Beat on the Brat
Gimmie Gimmie Shock Treatment

good albums

My all time favorite Ramones song. They are the best pure rock band ever--90 seconds of teen angst, anger, confusion and nihilism–no one got it better, non one's done it better.

They have always been my musical benchmark, meaning if someone didn't like the Ramones, odds are, we weren't going to get along... I always found them to be a good starting point..

I love the Ramones, but their discography is long and exhausting. And they seem to have more compilations than proper albums. I would just recommend listening to one of their bigger comps rather than do the full album treatment, as most of their songs tend to sound the same. Hey! Ho! Let's Go: The Anthology seems like a good place to start. Not only do you get the classic hits like Blitzkrieg Bop, Judy is a Punk, etc, you also get some of their better underrated songs like Pinhead, and Poison Heart.

I wouldn't go that far, but they have some good stuff.

I think their first 4 records are essential, maybe even through the mid 80s... To your point, there are only like 12 or 13 proper albums so a lot of the material can get repetitive if you don't know what you're buying..
Ramones (1976)
Leave Home (1977)
Rocket to Russia (1977)
Road to Ruin (1978)

Oh, and Pleasant Dreams. You need that even with a good compilation.

I had the pleasure and privilege of watching The Ramones' farewell tour -- middle of the lineup, thirty minute set at Lollapalooza1996 at the fairgrounds in Des Moines. They were old as dirt but they still rocked.
One of the best punk acts to ever form, though not on the level of The Clash.
You forget Pet Cemetery and Beat on the Brat.

Saw them twice in the 80s. My #1 and #2 shows ever.

One of the best compilations made for any band. It's pretty much all you need unless you're a big fan of the band.
No BS rock n roll. Huge fan.
