Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme has said making an album with country musician Nikki Lane “saved my life”.
Homme served as producer on Lane’s upcoming album ‘Denim & Diamonds’, which will be released on Friday (September 23).
In a post shared on Instagram yesterday (September 19), the QOTSA frontman reflected on working on the album. “Making a record with Nikki Lane saved my life,” he wrote. “Her songs about life, love, loss & just plain picking yourself up to go for another round in the ring… well, they helped me do the same.”

The dude literally died about 10 years ago. And now he needed some country singer to save his life? He’s definitely got some demons. I hope he stays well and can continue to make music, as QOTSA is one of my favorite bands.

As a HUGE QOTSA fan and Homme fan, if you have been paying attention he hasn't been looking so great since Villians tour ended. During covid I watched him on a stream and he looked unrecognizable. Looked way better for the Taylor Hawkins show.

Probably dealing with heavy things like we all have to do. People handle those things differently, and it can easily become self-destructive. Life is fricking tough.

I hated that song “real men like curves”

he's been in a toxic custody battle with his ex wife

Yep, read about that. Seeing him with his son run to him onstage at the Taylor concert..."who's kid is this? Just kidding folks, this is my kid." Loved every second of that. I'm pulling for Joshua to come out the other side of the Brody divorce.
And I'm ready for that Them Crooked Vultures album they've teased for almost 10 years.

Homme is a super talented guy and I hope he continues to get his shite together, I'll keep pulling for him. QOTSA is one of my all time favorite bands and it is hard to find a better one than their debut. I can always go back to that one and enjoy the hell out of it.
Actually going back through a few songs now...fricking fantastic. Mexicola, The Bronze, Walkin' on Sidewalks, How to Handle a Rope, and Avon are amazing

I would still consider what he went through in that terror attack in France as well. That would be a fricked up thing to experience.

Homme wasn't at that show

My bad. I saw the documentary a few years ago and remember his interview but I stand corrected.

Ok this album is great. Very creative and definitely has qotsa type production on it.
