Songs like “Babies” and “Disco 2000” are timeless.

They’re definitely underrated, at least here in the states. But yeah, they were so much more than the song Common People, which is still fantastic.
I’ve also always loved the song they wrote for The Great Expectations soundtrack, Like a Friend. when the track kicks into gear around two minutes, and just keeps building. Very nice. It’s also used perfectly in the movie. Love that scene.
I also like a good bit of Jarvis Cocker’s solo work. I’ve been listening to his recent French pop covers album after watching The French Dispatch.

Stone Roses
Oasis
The Seahorses
Ocean Colour Scene
And Kula Shaker
Were all better but Pulp was a fun group.

I consider them a precursor to Britpop or else they'd be #1 for me on the s/t debut alone... The Las would be up there too
I have to go with Oasis, on the legs of the first two records...
Pulp was generally considered in the main four Britpop bands, along with Oasis, Blur and Suede.. Funny thing is, they were around for a long time, before they really broke through in the Britpop era...
My most underrated would be Supergrass...

They were writing such good songs that absolute gems Like a Friend and Miles End didn't end up on the original albums and instead soundtracks.
Different Class and This is Hardcore still hold up so well today. Bar Italia is one of the greatest end songs to a concept album ever.
Jarvis's first two solo albums capture some of the magic as well.

Yes very underrated band. First album was really raw and fun but I really enjoy We're In it for the Money a lot. They never made a bad album.

Which is superior to the album version. That one loses the impact that the soundtrack recording has. This is actually my favorite song by them. Great band!
